New practice now also in Mönchengladbach

Due to the current situation and in order to make traditional Chinese medicine accessible to an even broader group of patients, I now offer new practice rooms in the centre of Mönchengladbach as well.

This means that our patients now have a shorter journey if they visit from the Mönchengladbach region. Located in the centre on Bismarckstraße near the main railway station, this new practice gives many satisfied patients another opportunity to make appointments for pulse and tongue diagnosis, acupuncture- moxibustion or cupping treatments, Tuina massages, reflexology as well as nutritional counselling in line with the 5 elements.

Weight-loss and Fasting cure for the intestinal flora with the green plum

Why the green plum (Qingmei)?

There are thousands of varieties of plums worldwide today, which have been cultivated for thousands of years. One of these many varieties is called the green plum (Qingmei), very popular in China, Japan and Korea. The Chinese had realised early on that green plums are both food and medicine. In traditional European folk medicine too it is known that the green plum -Qingmei- regulates digestion in a natural and gentle way. The plum’s positive effect is such that it has even been granted an officially approved ‘Health Claim’. A number of plum packets can thus include this indication : “Dried plums contribute to normal intestinal function.”

Green plums (Qingmei) aid digestion

Green plums (Qingmei) contain a range of vital substances.

They accelerate the peristaltic movement in the intestine, have an antiseptic effect and promote the digestion of protein. This digestive effect is due to the pectins and cellulose, among others. Stimulation of the intestines thereby increases intestinal movement and boosts digestion. In addition, pectins help to detoxify heavy metals and to lower cholesterol levels. Since persistent constipation increases the risk of colon cancer almost twofold, these tasty fruits can at the same time effectively protect against tumour disease. Therefore, researchers at the above-mentioned A & M University believe that eating prunes regularly could be part of a dietary strategy that reduces the risk of cancer in the long term. Last but not least, umeboshi is also an effective home remedy for bad breath, which is often caused by acidosis of the body.

Plums contain many B-complex vitamins, such as vitamin B1, which strengthens the nerves, reduces stress and increases energy levels. Because zinc and copper are also effective against nervous restlessness, irritability and depression, plums contribute not only to physical health but also to mental well-being.
